Peaceful Playground Rules
Protect the equipment. Whatever you bring out, you will bring back in! Playground equipment is provided by the school. Students do not need to bring any play toys with them to school.
Play Safely
*Playscape monkey bars may be used by 1st and 2nd graders ONLY for swinging and not for climbing on top of.
*Sit and swing straight on swings. Jumping off swings is not safe.
Enter and exit the building quickly & quietly. Avoid any screaming or yelling.
Attention: Follow instructions the first time.
Cooperation: Work well with others. Take turns. Use your conflict resolvers (rock, paper, scissors-one time offer only.)
*School rules should be used when playing 2-square or 4-square during all recesses.
*Two-finger tag or chase games are to be played on the field areas, not the blacktop or the playscape area. Make sure we all agree to play by the rules before we start.
*Soccer games are to five students on a team with only 10 on the field at one time.
Esteem: Respect other’s rights. Keep hands & feet to oneself.

-Use the playscape when it is dry and safe ONLY.
-Appropriate shoes for the playscape and other climbing equipment are ones that have a back & are closed at the toe.
-Zip-lines and playscape wheel are for the second graders only.
-Zip-lines may be used in the Spring by the 1st graders.
-Two students at a time can play on the playscape wheel.
-Walking feet only, and no tag games on playscape.
